As some of you many or may not know, Roxi’s bar is set in a real building here in Denver. Once upon a time it was called After the Gold Rush, and in the early nineties it was one of my favorite places to go see bands and drink. Since then it’s undergone a few other transformations that were not… well… not appealing to me. Lately I’ve watched as it was renovated and now it’s re-opening as the Grizzly Rock! Why is this exciting? Why, the format is going to be something like I imagined Roxi’s to be! First of all – HAIR BANDS! And cover bands! And tribute bands!
The bar is being run by the same guy who owns the Grizzly Rose, an iconic country bar here in Denver. I hope the Grizzly Rock is as successful and as enduring! I’m dragging the husband there ASAP and I’ll report back. I can’t believe how excited I am!
