I finally succeeded in my quest to make the site responsive. Just in case anyone else with a web comic wanders here, I’ll share what I’ve done.
My home page is coded separately – I realize I probably don’t have to do it that way. I did it so that I have more flexibility on what I can do with it if I need to.
I used the Generic WordPress template by Brian Hadaway. It is very bare-bones but it seems to have worked beautifully for my purposes.
Last but not least, I am using the Comic Easel plugin. Frumph (the author) has been an excellent resource whenever I manage to break something or am unable to figure something out. He’s very easy to contact.
If any new web comic makers stumble upon my corner of the web, feel free to ask me questions and I will do my best to help you find the answer.
